Brooke Lennington Biography

Brooke Lennington is an American news anchor and reporter. She is the current co-anchor for KSNT News and also anchors on KTKA 49 ABC, and 9p on FOX 43 KTMJ. Brooke  joined KSNT News as a weekend anchor, on August 2014, as a weekend anchor, reporting on th weekends.

She was born and raised in Goodland, Kansas, but  spent a lot of time in her father’s hometown of Syracuse, Kansas where he owned a local pizzeria. It was there she would earn a small wage, cooking pizzas and delivering them on a 4-wheeler because it was legal to drive an ATV around town.

Brooke started her career on June of 2013 as a reporter for Channel 6 News in Lawrence. Her knowledge on from her home town allowed her to use her agricultural background into many of her reports. Her news reports as well  cover an array of stories from breaking news, criminal investigations and trials, education, community affairs, local government, and of course, KU.

She joined KSNT News as a weekend anchor in August 2014, she now had weekday reporting duties. Brooke has  covered Governor Sam Brownback’s re-election, the wrongful conviction of Floyd Bledsoe,  and  the story of an Oskaloosa man who served 16 years in prison for a murder his brother admitted to in a suicide note.

Brooke  was also the only reporter in the Capital City to reveal an alleged rape at Washburn University. In 2015, she won  1st place for the News Feature/ Enterprise Reporting on her story on “Big Rig Texting” from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
