Laura Moody is a well known American news anchor, she is the morning anchor for Good Day Tampa Bay. Moody and her co-anchor Russel Rhodes co-anchor the weekday mornings. She started at WTVT in 2006 as weekend morning anchor FOX 13 favorite Bill Murphy.

She is a graduate of Florida State University and is originally from Alabama. Before Laura came to WTVT, she was the weekend morning and evening anchor for Nashville’s ABC affiliate WKRN. She had just started just down the road in Sarasota, working for the SNN.
Laura started at WTVT in 2006 as a weekend morning anchor with Bill Murphy. In the years , she covered some incredible stories. From the brave men and women at MacDill Air Force Base who took her on some wild rides. The Special Operations Command’s Parachute Team took her 12,000 feet up into the air for a skydiving adventure.
She was the first female civilian to skydive from a CV-22 Osprey. Laura had ridden along with the KC-135 Air Refueling Squadron and saw the beautiful Bay Area from a Blackhawk helicopter.She had recently, had the honor of riding with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. She claims to have a whole new respect for the fighter pilots who fight for and defend the United States.
Laura’s favorite stories to cover were that of the Good Day Grads segments, where she shared the stories of high school seniors who were about to graduate. They talked about adversity, peer pressure. Kid Wit is was her favorite segment to do, though. It’s of a play on what Art Linkletter did when they just sit down and talk with second-and third-graders about anything.
